How it Works
Renting a car with RentMyKaar is simple and hassle-free. Here’s how it works:
Drivers
Looking to Rent a Car
REGISTRATION
Input your basic information and car details on our site.
FINDING A CAR
Our database matches you with available cars in your neighborhood.
PAYMENTS
Pay a $200 security deposit online, plus 2 days minimum rental. Submit 3 referee names and emergency contact numbers. Insurance and other documents will be provided.
PICKUP
Receive location details to pick up your car. Show your driver’s license. Snap photos of the car’s condition, mileage, and fuel level, and send a copy to info@rentmaikar.com. Pick up the keys from the owner.
FOLLOW-UP
*Further Payments, *Renew contract *Maintenance *Returning car,*Insurance,* Rent to own.
FURTHER PAYMENTS
Make daily or weekly payments as agreed. Late payments incur a 10% charge; non-payment for three days cancels the contract.
RENEW CONTRACT
Extend your contract by adding days. For long-term renters, meet the owner monthly to inspect the car for renewal eligibility.
MAINTENANCE
Owners cover basic services including oil changes and break pad changes unless specified otherwise. Get the owner’s confirmation before doing any services. Report major issues promptly for immediate assistance.
RETURNING THE CAR
Return the car to the agreed location and time. Do not leave keys in the car without permission to avoid being reported for abandonment.
INSURANCE
Contact the assigned number for roadside assistance. Contact the owner to find out about the car towing location. Private renters may pay more for collision insurance.
RENT TO OWN PROGRAM
After three months of regular renting, you may opt to buy the car through our ‘RENT TO OWN PROGRAM’, regardless of credit history.

LIST YOUR CAR
Input detailed information and photographs of your car (front, rear, sides, dashboard, interiors). Clear photos attract more renters. Provide a current 19-point inspection from a certified mechanic (within 3 months) and a state inspection certificate if the car is for Uber or other ride-share services.
MEET YOUR DRIVER
We have renters ready for your car. A screened driver will be assigned IN your neighborhood. Arrange a meeting time and place. Confirm the driver’s identity and have printed copies of your insurance, car registration, and inspection certificates ready. Take photos of any exterior dents, mileage, and gas levels for your records.
FOLLOW UP

GET PAID
Earn weekly, 90% with full insurance, 70% with only state-mandated liability insurance.
INSURANCE
Keep minimum liability insurance. Do not add the driver to your insurance. Carry full insurance, sign up for roadside assistance, and earn more money.
MAINTENANCE
Allow drivers to perform basic services (oil changes, brakes). Direct them to trusted workshops. We reimburse you upon your approval.
CONTRACT RENEWAL
Private renters can extend up to 30 days, then a new contract is needed. Commercial renters (Uber, etc.) must rent for a minimum of 30 days, and bring the car monthly for inspection and renewal.
RETURNING CAR
Ensure the car is returned in good, clean condition. Report damages with photos to info@rentmycar.com. Report major dents (wider than 1 ft.) to your insurance or us if we provide collision coverage.
RENT TO OWN PROGRAM
After some time of renting out, you can sell your car to long-term diligent renters who pay the rent regularly, through our ‘RENT TO OWN PROGRAM’.
